Westbourne dates back to 1859 and started trading as a Residential Care Home in 1984, so successful was the venture that the Home was extended with two new wings. The Home now provides residential care for 27 residents.

Mr.and Mrs. Bains purchased Westbourne Residential Care Home in 2002. They have since invested their time and energy to bring the home to a very high standard. They take a keen interest in the well-being of the home and visit regularly making them selves known to the residents and forming good relationships. Westbourne has developed an excellent reputation in the area for high standards of care and the manager Jill Shepherd is a Registered General Nurse with extensive years of experience in care management and care welfare.

There are lovely gardens with shrubberies, rose beds and raised beds for residents to use. Within the grounds lie areas to sit and relax. There is a car park for visitors on the side of the property which can be accessed via Oughton-Head Way entrance.
